Giselle (voiced and played by the wonderful Amy Adams) lives in the animated world of Andalasia, and is waiting for her true love’s kiss. So when Prince Edward (James Marsden) comes along by following her magical singing voice, they quickly fall in love and arranges to marry instantly. But when Queen Narissa (Susan Sarandon), the mother (or was it stepmom?) of Prince Edward decides that she wants to keep her throne forever, terror ensues.
Transformed as an old hag, Queen Narissa pushes off Giselle into a magical well that leads to the real world where happy lived ever after never exists: New York. Patrick Dempsey) and her daughter Morgan (Rachel Covey) who took care of her amidst the troubles. Prince Edward along with his companions Pip the squirrel and Nathaniel (Timothy Spall) transfers to New York to find Giselle. But as their search draws closer, Giselle and Robert becomes closer too. Will Prince Edward still be Giselle’s true love kiss?
