Just before teh year ends, I will now post my list of 20 Best Foreign Films released this 2007 and my 7 Best Local flicks released also this year. Hmmm… What would they be? Hahaha! I’ve seen almost a hundred films this past year may it be a classic on DBD, or something new and experimental.
Because I basically live in third-world country where films are released months away from the original release date (some doesn’t even make it, they get butchered and banned by the local Film classification board.), I haven’t seen all the (quote)Good flicks(unquote) that was released during Oscar Season. So yes, here you go 20 foreign flicks that was shown in theaters or bought at Quiapo and 7 Local films that are… well very much Pinoy.
ON WITH TEH LIST!

Just look at that poster. It looks so happy, and everyone in that poster is filled with joy, and quirkiness, and well… Judy Ann’s awesomeness.
Last year’s biggest MMFF upset was when Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo only bagged the 2nd Best Picture Award whilst that shoe bomber of a movie, Enteng Kabisote 3: Insert useless subtitle here, took on the Best Picture award. Well, nothing right ever happens at MMFF awarding ceremonies, anyway. When the MMFF people solely based the awards for it’s box office earnings, everything went straight into a downward spiral. Star Cinema (obviously, my favorite mainstream film producers) was in rage and even said that they would boycott the 2007 MMFF.
But just before 2006 MMFF rolled out from the theaters; Kasal, Kasali, Kasalo already hit the jackpot as it went past Enteng Kabisote 3’s gross earnings. So, what would the loving people from Star Cinema do? Take back what they said about the boycott and cash-in by making a sequel. A Sequel to a Romantic-Comedy romp… Only in the Philippines!

Yeyy! I reached my goal! My goal was to initially have 10,000 hits before my blog turned 1 year old! 2007 still ain’t over and my blog is still not a year old, and I reached that goal! ZOMG! People (or sometimes, web crawlers) somehow read what I write, and that’s the sole purpose of it all diba?
Anyway, I’m HIGH! Really high! Here’s to another 10,000 hits and 10,000 posts! Alavet! Bask in my joyous moment everyone! I’m zoooooooo happy! (because of this, because of Judy Ann, because of the world suddenly spinning on its right direction, because it’s such a wonderful joyous day!)
It says so too according to the recorded number of visitors here today! BEST DAY EVAR!!! (in terms of blogging, not in terms of my life in general)

I was slapping my forehead earlier tonight while sitting in front of the cinema sandwiched between my two younger brothers. “Why did I not watch that Judy Ann movie? Whyyyy…“
Well, here’s why.

This doesn’t include all considering that I lost 2 wallets with about 20 moar tickets over the course of this entire year. But yeah, these are my babies. From Cinemalaya to Cinemanila, Cinema One original (which, I only saw one: Confessional) to various malls and screening venues.
This is a proof of my love for movies. MWAHAHAHAH! Oh yes, this doesn’t include my extensive collection of pirated DBDs. Awesome.
Hmm… now which of these movies would I include in my Top Films of 2007… The mystery continues. I’ll post the list after the Holidays! MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!

I decided that before I unveil my Top films released this year, I should first list down the films that I’d want to see next year. It’s best to look forward first before looking back, or something like that.
We’ve got four stoners, three superheroes, a bunch of ghosts, a broken-hearted guy, a rape victim, a collective of geeks, an old man, a monster, a drunk girl, an existential robot, two porn star hopefuls and a scary gay guy all waiting in 2008. Awesome. On with teh list then!
